RF SPEED LIMIT INDICATOR AND FUEL CUTOFF

SYSTEM

SYNOPSIS
The objective of this project is to control the speed of the vehicle
automatically with the help RF technology. This project is very useful to
traffic police department. If the speed of the vehicle is over than limit value,
the speed is automatically controlled. So this project is used to prevent
accident.

WORKING PRINCIPLE
This project is designed with RF transmitter and Receiver, Encoder,
Decoder, speed sensor, signal conditioning unit, potentiometer, solenoid
valve, and Relay driver circuit with relay. Many RF transmitters is placed in
the emergency road and traffic rush areas. These RF transmitters are
transmitting the speed limit value through the RF transmitter. Then the speed
limit value is given to the encoder to encoded the signal and given to RF
transmitter block in which the encoded signal is modulated with carrier
frequency and transmitted through RF transmitter.

The receiver section consists of RF receiver, Decoder, speed sensor,

potentiometer, driver circuit, relay, and solenoid valve. The receiver section
is attached in the vehicle. The speed sensor is fixed in the vehicle wheel to
monitor the speed of the vehicle. So the speed sensor continuously measures
the speed and it generates the pulse and gives to control unit. The control
unit counts the pulse and displays on the LCD display which is equal to
speed of the vehicle. The RF receiver is used to receive the speed limit
value. The value is given to control unit through decoder. The RF receiver
removes the carrier frequency and the decoder is used to decode the signal
then given to control unit.
In control unit received speed limited value is compared with obtained
speed. If the speed is higher than limits value it activates the relay through
relay driver circuit. The relay output is connected to petrol supply valve. So
it controls the petrol flow to the engine. Through this way the vehicle speed
is automatically limited to speed level set by traffic police department.

ADVANTAGES

Easy implementation

Can be used in all type of vehicles

Avoids accidents due to over speed

DISADVANTAGE
Not applicable while travelling in highways.
