Source of Water Suppl

pply

Main source of water from the Municipal / tanker mains is collected in the UG
Auxiliary Tank / sump located near the main entrance right corner of the gate below
ground level as per the co-ordinated with architects by a metering system and then
through a set of automatically controlled submersible pump sets is pumped into the
fire tank .

Recycled water (treated in STP) shall be used for , flushing and landscaping and for car wash.

water from roof top and external surface areas will be collected in rain water collection
tank and will be used for Domestic used after given the suitable treatement in
monsoon season.
Water Treatment

As the bore wells are yet to be drilled, the exact water quality parameters are not
known. However, we understand that the hardness level of the ground water available
in this area is more than 200mg/litre (as CaCO3). With hardness above 200mg/litre,
the pipes and the faucets start getting scaled and over a period of time the effective
diameter of the pipes gets reduced.

In case, the hardness in the ground water or rain water harvested is found to be higher
than 200mg/litre, it is proposed to provide a water treatment system comprising sand
filter followed by softener. It is also proposed to blend this softened water with filter
water in such a way that the blended water is neither corrosive nor scaling. A
chlorinator with metering pump is also proposed.
