Description of the artifact and how it meets the standard and criteria:
This artifact is a copy of the progres report that I send home to parents 3 times a year,
in between report card grading periods. Parents get this form 3 times per year, and
report cards 3 times per year and that keeps them updated on their childs learning and
growth at school. These progress reports cover each content area that students are
currently enrolled in and social skill/work habits. All of the parts of these progress
reports work together to keep parents informed on not only one area of success, but
many different areas of success. It also help parents know what they can be working on
at home to help their child continue to be successful at school.
Reflection on the artifact:
I think these progress reports are very beneficial. They help me keep my classroom
parents in the loop about their students learning throughout the year. If we did not send
these home, and only sent home report cards parents might not have any idea about
the growth that their child is making at school. I really also like the way that these forms
are set up. They are teacher friendly, but also parent friendly. It gives them just the right
amount of information, not too much or too little.
