Our Lady of Unity Catholic

School
2016-2017 School Year

Dear Parents & Friends,

The lunchroom ramp door

will be closed but unlocked
when students are dropped
off. It will remain unlocked
until 7:40. If your child is
tardy, but arrives before 7:40,
please drop them off at the
back ramp door and watch to
make sure they get in. There
will likely not be anyone in the
office to open the door if you
go around to the front of the
building before then.

God Bless!

Important messages from

the school will be sent to you
via School Messenger. If you
do not answer or miss the call,
it will leave a message.
Please listen to the message
before trying to call back the
school.
Also, if school is
cancelled, this will be shown
on the local news stations as
Wyandotte
and
Johnson
County Catholic Schools and
on our Facebook page.

SPANISH VIRTUS
TRAINING

MORNING DROP OFF

As part of our building-wide

Virtuous Behavior Formation
we will begin implementing a
Virtue of the Month. Each
virtue has a scripture verse,
stories of the lives of Saints
who emulated this type of
behavior,
and
specific
suggestions
of
how
the
students should be speaking
and acting if they are practicing
the virtue. For the month of
January
our
virtue
is
circumspection which means
that a person should carefully
consider the circumstances and
consequences of their actions.
Staff members will begin
looking specifically for students
who demonstrate this type of
behavior to receive a white
ticket. As always, the white
tickets will go into a monthly
drawing for an exciting prize.
Additional information will be
provided as we move forward
with this initiative to further
instill virtuous behavior.
Congratulations to Sophia
Dominguez and Evelyn Valdez,
our December VBF winners.

BWHS PARENT
INFORMATION NIGHT

to get more information about
sending your child to a
Catholic HS. The 8th grade
placement test is the following

SCHOOL MESSENGER
