Dear Parents or Guardians,

Let me introduce myself. I am a graduate of Graceland University (Lamoni, Iowa)

with a bachelors degree in Athletic Training and from St. Marys University (San
Antonio, TX) with a Masters degree in Educational Leadership and I am looking
forward to a new school term as your childs Physical Education teacher. This year
will be an exciting time for all of us. We will study healthy lifestyle living, practice
different sports, and promote psychological well-being. I have planned many
activities throughout the course of the year that are designed to help your child
succeed academically, not just this year but also in the future.
You should expect to see your child spending twenty to thirty minutes, learning
rules of sports, exercising, or studying prevention of injuries, and practicing different
sports. A copy of the weekly schedule will be given to each student to keep in his or
her binder as well as posted on the class Web page.
The following are some classroom procedures that we will be following in
our class:
1- Asking questions- students are to raise their hand before they speak when
trying to answer a question
2- Beginning of Class- Immediately start your entry task, when you finish, wait
quietly until you are given other directions by the teacher.
3- Ending Class- Clean your work area and take all garbage to the trash can,
wait in your seat for the teacher to dismiss you and leave quietly, ONLY after
you have been given permission to do so.
If you want to schedule a parent conference, we can do it during 7 th period from
2:05pm-2:55Ppm, please schedule the parent conference at least two days in
advance.
I am looking forward to working with my new students this year. I am also looking
forward to meeting you and working with you to help your child succeed.

Best wishes,
