Pugna apud Cannas

The battle of Cannae

The number of foot soldiers who then stood in battle-line was forty thousand ,

Broj pjesadije koji su tada stajali u borbi je etrdeset hiljada, i deset tisua
konjanika. Lideri su na prednjem dijeluborbene linije, s lijeve strane Hasdrubal,
Maharabal na desnoj Hanibal sa svojim bratom Mago odran sredinom borbenu
liniju. Iako ih nije bilo puno, Feniana su donijeli mnogo pobeda. Da bar nikada
nisu doli u Italiju! Da su samo bili savladani od strane Rimljani u paniji.
Hannibal je poklano oni koji su uvali ast predaka na najokrutniji nain. Jedva 50
vojnika bjei sa konzulom u Kane, dok je ostatak vojske bio ubijen. Nikada,
Rimljani, ovo poraz nesmijemo zaboraviti ! Okrutnost Kartaginjana biti ce
pamcena zauvijek!
