Assignment # 1

Compose a report regarding your Final Year Project considering the following
topics.

Initial costing of the project according to the market survey.

Redesigning the project for cost cutting.
Market price in a competitive market.
Project survival in the long run and in present economic condition of
Pakistan.
Societal implications of your design: In a creative, persuasive and
entertaining way, describe the problem you are trying to solve, how are you
solving it, and why is this important. Refrain from using complicated or
scientific terms; your description has to be understand by people with no
technical training. Think on the description you will give to your 10 year
old brother or sister. Be specific, but without overwhelming details.
Emphasize the significance and innovation of your project and your design.

Note:

The assignment would be a brief report using Microsoft Word/Excel or other

professional computer tools where as necessary.
The hard copy of the assignment must be submitted to the instructor on 8th October
2015 prior to 5 pm. (No assignment would be accepted after due date/time)
The assignment is a group assignment and the group must be your final year project
group. Only the group leader can hand over the assignment to the instructor.
All the assignments must be submit in a file, properly.
The assessment will be based on report followed by a presentation.
All the reports must be written considering the following criteria.
o 11-pt Arial or 12-pt Times New Roman font. (Symbols are allowed)
o 1 inch margins all around, double spaced.
o Header including your names, date, project title.
o Footer containing page number.
o Professionally made figures (no scans of hand-drawing).
o Bibliography to be included at the end of each report with references properly
cited.
o Description of the work breakdown (who did what) for the assignment at the
end.
