I am very interested in your recent job opening in the Design Engineering Department. I
am a recent graduate of Iowa State University with a bachelors degree in Mechanical
Engineering. I have direct experience working with Kinze equipment as I worked with
your planters while helping run my familys farm. I believe that this experience will
enable me to make designs which work for both your company and your consumers.

I have used my skills in mechanics to complete various tasks. At the end of my high
school career I restored a tractor as a project, a valuable learning experience which
educated me in several different facets of mechanics. Living on a farm gave me the
skills to know what to do and when to do it. I still carry this valuable skill today and
continue to apply it in all aspects of my daily life.
