My name is Aiden Wenzel, and I am an aspiring engineering student interested in an internship

on a mechanical design team at the Ford Motor Company. It is my hope that working with your company
will allow me to develop the necessary teamwork, problem solving, and engineering related skills
necessary for my professional development.

In high school, I have and will be receiving credits for numerous STEM classes such as AP
Calculus, AP Statistics, AP Chemistry, AP Physics C: Mechanics, AP Macro Economics, and AP English
Language Composition. Taking this wide variety of subjects has allowed me to improve my writing and to
practice problem solving skills essential to any design position.

Throughout school, I have been a driven and motivated person who always wants to learn
something new. Expanding my skillset, whether that be in 3D design or academic subjects such as
calculus, has always pushed me to grow as a student and future engineer. I believe that my desire to
improve my skillset would be greatly complemented with this internship and will allow me to further
kickstart my career.

I plan to continue to take challenging courses throughout college at the University of Michigan
College of Engineering this coming fall, and I hope to join a design team to hone my skills in a
