Teaching approach; constructivism, behaviourist and cognitivism

Construtivism approach; Learners will be asked to bring different magazines or posters about kinds
of food. They will cut from the magazines and try to make a poster. Discuss or brainstorm about the
different food. In-groups they will analyse, sort the food which they think is good or bad for our
bodies.

Behavourists approach;Thewebsite will

Step1; ask the learners to make a list of everything that they eat and drank yesterday.They will
answer the questions true or false about healthy diet and also work on multiple-choice questions
and complete the puzzle.

Cognitivists approach

Learners will design a menu for breakfast,lunch and supper for their families .Include everything they
will eat during Saturday and Sunday.

food pyramid shows the amount of food to be
eaten, and also show good and the bad food
Analyse I am teaching grade 7 learneners.as educators we try to use English as
the medium of instruction,although the language inviroment is venda,zulu and
Tsonga because the whole area is made of vend speaking people.

search from internet and Encarta .they will construct their ideas of ways to be
healthy and give advice. In –groups they will design an awareness program.

Content-correct ways of eating ;purpose-to improve nutritional value of our


own personal diet.

They will be given some booklets about the topic. Invite people from healthy
department to address the ways of eating. individual the learners will answer
questions and complete table on nutrients of food, plan survey activities .the
will measure their weight and record themselves.each learner will draw a
gragh to represent his /her results .attitude—watch your health so that you
stay healthy and be fit

for pictures from Google and the information. Debate will be conducted about
