of calorie in our diet that provides twice as
much energy as carbohydrates or protein.

because even if it can provide carbohydrates, it
will just give additional calories but fewer
nutrients. So if we know that the food doesn’t
have nutrients, then we better avoid it, or if not
just have it occasionally.
