RESERVE OFFICERS TRAINING CORPS (ROTC) REVIVAL

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte wants an immediate revival mandatory of

Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) which he wants to implement for all the
Senior High and (SHS) and College students for the coming next school year.

And with that Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella personally said that
ROTC should revive from the schools and he also said Its going to help in the
building of discipline and values especially in this generation and we expect ROTC
to be able to help build a sense of patriotism among the next generation. As we
know that in ROTC will help us a lot to be responsible enough and well-
disciplined. We will be ready for military actions once the government needs us, it
will improve the skills of one-self and leadership which we need to have and must
to prepare for national defense. And to tell you honestly this program is beneficial
to us because it will makes us more responsible not only for ourselves but also for
the country. ROTC program has banned before for the reason of having a wrong
system. And I would agree if this will be implemented back by the government,

Lastly it will strengthen each individual to become tougher and wiser in

decision making.
