I am pleased to write a letter of recommendation for Guesela Alejo. I have known

Guesela for nearly four years, and during that time I have found her to be a great
student and an excellent citizen. I know Guesela to be an extremely capable young
individual who will certainly accomplish her goals. Guesela is exceedingly bright and
highly motivated to succeed.

Guesela is very intelligent, respectful and honest. She has excellent social skills. She
is great at communicating with others and is outgoing. Another great quality that she
possesses is her sense of community. She sees the importance of supporting Merced
and has volunteered at the The Sacred Heart Festival and the Merced Christmas
Parade for the last 3 years. She is always determined and hardworking when it comes
to achieving her goals. Her hard work and determination is very evident when you see
what she has accomplished academically. She continues to take academic classes as
a senior and challenges herself daily. Last year Guesela pushed herself second
semester and earned a 3.0 GPA at end of semester and this year when most senior
would take a shortened day she continues to take academic classes.

One of the most endearing things about Guesela is her ability to take responsibility for
her education and goals. Guesela does not wait for things to happen she makes them
happen. She would frequently come to my office and advocate for herself. This will
help her in pursuing her career as a medical assistant. I have no doubt in my mind that
she will reach this with the kind of drive and determination that she has.

Finally, I know that Guesela is anxious to continue her education beyond high school.
She has shown herself deserving many times over, and no doubt will enjoy the
