To Whom It May Concern:

My name is Arturo Fuentes, and it is my pleasure to write this letter on behalf of Cristina Sliva
Ferreira. I have known her for nearly two years in my time as a counselor at El Capitan High School
in the Merced Union High School District. During that time I have had the pleasure of watching her
mature into a successful student and a young woman of impeccable character.

In my experience with Cristina, I have found her to be very respectful and mature; a good-natured,
people-oriented person. These qualities show through in how many friends she has and how
willing she is to help others. Cristinas maturity and selflessness are both major reasons that her
peers get along with her so well and often look to her for help. Cristina never hesitates to work as
hard as she can and do whatever needs to be done for the sake of those around her. She is not only
a kind and helpful student, but she is also one of few seniors that sees the value of a hards day work
and currently is employed.

In the academic arena, Cristina has proven that she possesses the skills and qualities that will
continue to lead her toward success. As a senior she still continues to challenge herself
academically. Currently she is taking three academic classes and as of the 1st semester has a 3.25
GPA. Cristina sees this academic push as a duty to herself so she can reach her goals. Her goal that
she has expressed to me is to attend Merced College and become a social worker. I have no doubts
that she will continue the pattern of hard work and success as she proceeds through her
post-secondary career.

Cristina has worked hard and succeeded at becoming a well-rounded student and person, and I
speak positively on her behalf without exception or reservation. She has shown herself deserving
many times over, and no doubt will enjoy the successes for which she strives. If you have any
questions regarding Cristina, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,

ArturoFuentes
