Whenlearningvocabularyatamore

rowtheboattoshore.Thecontexttellsusthatrowhastwodifferentmeanings.

Homonymsareoftendifferentiatedaccordingtowhetherthepairorsetofwordshas
thesamespellingorpronunciation,butinallcasesthemeaningisdeterminedfrom
thecontext,asistheirspellingandpronunciation.

Ifthewordshavethesamespelling,butdifferinpronunciationandmeaning,they
arecalledhomographs.
