Site Justification:

Brief History of Site


Pangasinan is the third largest province in the Philippines, its name means Place
of Salt and within it is Mangatarem where the Zambales Mountains extends to. It
is blessed by clumps of forests among all places in Pangasinan it is rich in bio-
diversities about its lands (such as native trees and endangered species).

Topography
The site is within levels of moderate to steep slopes with favorable soil
characteristics for proposed designing.

Land Capability
The site is within an agricultured town of Pangasinan. Mangatarem has a forest
coverage area of 13,863.61 hectares or 44.7%. Twelve percent or 1,935.17
hectares of the forestlands is the Manleluag Spring Protected Landscape (MSPL),
while the remaining forestlands of Mangatarem are composed of open access
forestlands and tenured areas.
