3 Annotated Drafts

Software used
The software that we chose to use in order to
make our TV ident was Adobe Premiere Pro. We
chose this software to edit our footage as we
believe it has the needed editing software we
need to put together our ident

The software was already provided by the

schools media department on the macs so it
was easy to access.
Editing
First we imported the different clips we filmed into
the computer, then into Adobe Premiere Pro

We cropped the footage and edited it in order

to meet the planned time requirement of the
ident (which was around 20 seconds) of
animation

One of the clips had an incorrect aspect ratio so

we had to crop out the black sides of the
footage in order for the clip to fit correctly
Changes in editing
We made some changes to the footage during editing.
These were;

We had to add transitions to make the collaboration of

the clips look aestically pleasing and crisp. We decided to
use cross fade transitions so the sequence looked smooth
rather than jumpy. This was done by dragging the cross
fade effect onto the specific bits of footage

We also added music into the background of the ident to

make the ident more interesting. We made sure we chose
appropiate music which went with the visuals well. We
chose a song from The XX called Intro as we believed it
fit well with the visuals. We had to convert the song from
Youtube to an MP4 format, then we imported the MP4
format to Adobe Premiere Pro
Changes in editing
We planned to film the London Eye (the main
feature in our video) shining the colour red, as red is
a reoccurring, recognisable theme of BBC. We
accidently filmed the London Eye whilst it was lit
pink
In order to do so, we had to select the change
colour effect and drag it to the clip we wanted to
alter. I changed around the colour control dials and
wheels under the effect controls until the London
Eye shined the red we wanted. This is called colour
correction
In the end, we were pleased with our end results
due to the editing
