Diary
Introduction:
In the document I am going to document what I do in this assignment and
how I do it, this includes creating the graphics I designed in Unit 54
assignment and completing the checklist for Unit 54 assignment 3.
At the start of this assignment I decided to create all of the files I need,
this includes files for the graphics, the diary, the ILP, the sources, the
other images, the assets and the other checklist. The
image to the right is the initial folders I created; there
are three layers of folders in this assignment. This is
so I can keep track of where I save everything to and
make sure I keep everything neat and orderly.
The image to the right shows the main folders I
created to keep the assets in order throughout this
assignment. An example of this is the Graphics
folder has two sub-folders; this includes three folders
in the Graphics folder called the Logo, Poster and CD cover, then
in the sub folders there are three folders for each ladled (graphic) assets,
edited copy and final copy. The asset file is for the assets involved in the
graphic, the edited copy file is for the PhotoShop file and the final copy is
for the exported finished graphic, this is so that I do not get confused with
the finished and unfinished graphics.
Checklist:
Unit 54 assignment 3

To the right is the section I just wrote out for the fourth
section on the checklist. In the image to the right you can
see it talks about File information, this means what the
files contain. In this assignment, the files will mostly
contain what the graphics are and how they are made (just
like this one).
The image to the right shows a fairly detailed section on
file information, this shows the 4th section of the checklist.
Unit 54 assignment 3

The image to the right is the fifth section of the checklist titled
Tool option bar.
This section is long as I had to write about all of the hidden
tools for PhotoShop, this includes all 65 tools that are linked
behind the tool bar. In this section I conclude that I will be using
a few of the tools listed in this section as I have a lot of
experience with them and I know how to use thewm to improve
my work.
The image to the right shows the finished sixth section of the
checklist titled palette well.
The image to the right shows the sixth section of the
checklist, this is all about the palette well on PhotoShop so in
this section I explained all about its features and how it is
used.
The image to the right shows the seventh section on the checklist
titled Floating palettes.
The section to the right shows the section I wrote out for
Photoshops detachable panels, this shows what they are, how
they could be used and why I am not going to be using them.
Unit 54 assignment 3

The image to the right is the ninth section, this section is titles
Undo This section is a bit shorter than the rest of them as this is
just a single command.
The image to the right shows undo section where I explain: what
the undo feature does, what the redo feature is, show how it is
linked into PhotoShop, how it is linked to Work and how I used it in
this assignment. On top of this I also explained how to use
keyboard shortcuts to do this with simple commands.
The tenth section is shown in the image to the right titled Palettes.
The image to the right is most of the tenth section as I ran out of time
to complete it, this shows a 2.5/3 page section and I still need to add
the sections on actions, size and resolution. In the sections that I
completed I wrote about what everything is, how to use it, how it links
into PhotoShop and how I am going to use it or why I am not.
Learnt:
In these past two sessions I completed a few sections on the checklist and
also updated the ILP, sources and diary.
Evidence:
I finished off the section of the checklist I left off from on
Thursday as shown to the right.
The image to the right shows the entire section for
Palettes.
The image to the right shows the last section on the checklist.
This shows the almost 6 pages that I wrote out for the last
section on the checklist.

The illustrations shown above show the 20% opacity brush and the new
layer I wrote about that is shown underneath the face. I Am now going to
demonstrate how this 20% opacity brush looks with an example to the
right, this change is NOT going to be saved to the logo! This is just an
example!
