What Are Disasters?
What Are Disasters?
Volcanic eruptions
There are countries where there are many volcanoes, some
of them in full activity. Volcanoes can produce large
amounts of lava, ash and toxic gases resulting from their
natural activity, as well as acid rain and pollution of nearby
rivers.
- Avoid building more houses near the volcanoes.
- Do not visit dangerous active volcanoes that are
emanating ashes, toxic gases or even lava.
- When there are ashes or toxic gases that can affect our
health, we must cover our noses with a rag moistened in
vinegar.
- In case the competent authorities recommend the
evacuation of our community, abide by its provisions and go
to the indicated places as soon as possible.
Rubbish
-Garbage is produced in our homes and in the community.
-We must collect them and deposit them in suitable places
and with the necessary precautions.
-In case of emergencies, we can bury the trash in holes of
one meter and a half diameter by two deep, covering it with
thirty centimeters of earth every day.
The trash can also be burned in places away from houses,
in hollows built for this purpose or using empty stains.
