Moment Before and Moment After

1. a. Moment Before: Describe, in detail, what you believe

happened right before your monologue begins? (i.e. Does
another character say something? Does your character receive
news or have something happen to her?)

b. How will this inform your performance? What specific choices

might you make as a result (think about emotions, facial
expressions, starting position, voice/tone, etc)?

2. a. Moment After: Describe, in detail, what you believe happens

right after your monologue ends? (i.e. Does your character exit?
Freeze? Sit? Sigh and throw her arms up? )

b. How will this inform your performance? What specific choices

might you make as a result (think about emotions, facial
expressions, ending position, voice/tone, etc)?
