Mostmonocoquebodiesarecomposedasasingleunitbyweldingtogetherpressedpartsmadeofsteelplateswhichcomeinavarietyofdifferentshapes
andsizes.Eachpartisresponsiblefordisplayingacertainstrengthanddurabilityinorderthatitmayplayitsroleinmeetingthefunctionsofthebodyasa
whole.
Damagetotheexteriorofthebodycanbeinspectedvisually,butwheretherehasbeenanexternalimpact,itisnecessarytoinspecttheextentofthe
damage.Insomecases,thedeformationhasspreadbeyondtheactualareaswhichwereinthecollisionandsothishastobeinspectedclosely.
