1 INTRODUCTION
We chose to develop this concept because it is fresh and new. Our concept
showcases youths doing community service and thats what makes it special. It
shows the viewers that the spirit of giving is still strong in todays society and is
still present in todays youths.
2 OBJECTIVE(S)
The objectives of this show is to allow viewers to see that charity and volunteerism
is indeed a big thing in Singapore. This would encourage the viewers to
themselves do a bit of charity, which is what Ramadhan is about.
3 TARGET AUDIENCE
5 CREATIVE CONCEPT
6 CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT
6.1 OVERVIEW
Each episode of Remedy Ramadhan will feature two hosts, along with 2-3 guests.
These guests will vary each episode. For example, episode 1 will feature reformed
prisoners who will go to Muhammadiyah Welfare Home to help out with
Ramadhan preparations, such as making the food and organising a performance
for the children staying there. The aim of each episode is to help the people there
have a proper Ramadhan filled with joy and laughter.
(i) TEASER
The teaser will be in the beginning of the episode, showing short clips of the
episodes highlights to engage the viewers to continue watching. The highlights
would be the success and the problems the youths will face when they are
preparing for the event.
(ii) PROFILES
The profile of the three volunteers will appear as an introduction for the viewers to
know their name, age, their backstory and why they want to turn over a new leaf.
(iii) EVENT
The three youths will share their plans for the event that they are going to host
later in the episode. They will talk about what food they are planning to cook, how
they want to decorate the events location and what kind of performance they are
planning to put up e.g: singing or dancing. It gives an insight to what is the events
theme and what it is going to look like.
(iv) COOKING
The youth in charge of the food and cooking will take the viewers through an
adventure as she describes the ingredients she is using, the recipe and how she
plans to present the food to the guests. She will be assisted with other social
workers when preparing the food.
(v) DECORATIONS
The youth in charge of the decorations will go around picking out decorations for
the event and also make handicrafts for the guests. The youth will also put up the
decorations at the location with the help of the other social workers.
(iv) PERFORMANCE
The youth in charge of performances with the other social workers and volunteers
for the final show.
(vi) INTERVIEW
The youths will share their thoughts after their events. What they enjoy most, how
they feel and what their challenges were. They will also share what they plan to do
after the show (and if they plan to continue giving back to the community.)
6.3 PROPOSED CONTENT:

Hosts will meet three volunteers of the week: Lily, Ali, Zac who used to have a
tough childhood. They will be volunteering at Muhammadiyah. In this episode, Lily
will prepare the menu for the break fast, Ali will be in charge of Decorating the
home and Zac will be playing the guitar for them.
EPISODE 2:
Hosts will meet the two volunteers of the week: Lydia and Yusof who are happily

be a new first for the two. They will be volunteering at Jamiyah.
EPISODE 3:

volunteered at the mosque during Ramadhan.

25-35. These women are always busy and never have time to give back to the
community. This is their chance to do so at the Ain Society, which helps at-risk
youths, disadvantaged families and children and adults suffering from cancer and
chronic illnesses.
EPISODE 5:
Hosts will meet the volunteers of the week; 4 Malay celebrities: Taufik Batisah,
Mastura Ahmad, Syarif SleeQ, Nurul Aini. These celebrities have decided to give
back to the community by holding a fundraiser and donation drive. The proceeds
will go to the more needer homes in the Geylang Bahru area.
EPISODE 6:
Hosts will meet the volunteers of the week;3 SAF men. These men will volunteer
at Darul Ihsan, a boys home. They will play sports with the boys, prepare for break
fast and kite flying.
Elfaeza Ul Haq
Elfaeza is an actress and host that has acted in shows such as The Pupil and Tanglin.
She has also been featured in Mens Health Magazine and has a relatively large
following. She has hosted in several shows, the latest event that she has appeared in is
the Presidents Star Charity. Elfaeza appeared as one among many guest celebrity hosts.
As she demonstrated in the Presidents Star Charity, she could present in a sombre and
serious tone which is perfect for interviewing the volunteers at the beginning of the
episode. Having Elfaeza would also reel in her fans to watch our show, boosting ratings.
