Unforgiving Love

Individuals around the world have dreams about their ideal marriage, partner, and life. They

hope for a great family and expect something to happen. However, that one true first love doesnt

really exist. In Shakespeares drama Romeo and Juliet and other texts, the authors displays the

struggles of forbidden love, storge, and rebellion which develops tragedy.

Forbidden love is never fun, excruciating pain because you long for your love. In Romeo

and Juliet the two are enemies separated by an ancient grudge. However, the two end up falling

love and fall in love despite the grudge. O Romeo, Rome! Wherefore art thou Romeo? Deny

thy father and refuse thy name. Or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love, And Ill no longer be

a Capulet.(Shakespeare 2.3.33-36) Juliet finds out that Romeo is a Montague and is heartbroken

because Juliet knows that her family will never be able to accept the marriage. Additionally in

Pyramus and Thisbe the two fall in love even though their parents do not allow the marriage.

Theirs didindeed they wanted to be wed,but marriage was forbidden by their parents: (Ovid

10-11) The two couples have a lot in common. They are suffering greatly because of the fact that

something is in the way of them falling in love without having anyone against it. They are

restrained and their tragic life is carried out.

Familial love is one of the most powerful types of love. Nothing about family should be

sad or unpleasing. Go, girl, seek happy nights and happy days. (Shakespeare 1.3.107) The
nurse of Juliet is a motherly figure of Juliet from the restrained relationship between the Lady.

Juliets nurse helps Juliet throughout her life and Juliet runs to her arm if she has any conflicts.

Mommy loves you...How much do you love me? a child asks. Because the parent cant

answer I (verb that means unconditional parental love) you, she may fling her arms wide

(Ackerman 5) Loves Vocabulary writes that when a child asks how much their parents love

them, the amount is endless. Nothing can express the true love that a parent feels. But knowing

that fact makes it harder to disagree with them and some cases cause some internal conflicts.

Sometimes it can get to the point where it gets uncomfortable because children dont want to hurt

their parents. They struggles of parental love is that they might be too protective and cause

discomfort for their kids or family

Rebellion between two groups dont end well. Its a way where people fight for what they

believe in without causing too much of a ruckus. Ay, sir, but she will none, she gives you

thanks. I would the fool were married to her grave. (Shakespeare 3.5.139-140) Rebellion is never

good knew to anyone. When Juliet rebelled against her parents they flipped out. It caused Juliet

to me miserable afterwards because her father threatened her that if she doesn't get married, he

will her out on the streets. ...yet theres one thing that parents cant prevent: the flame of love

that burned in both of them. (Ovid 12-13) Even though Pyramus and Thisbe werent allowed to

fall in love, they found their anyways. rebellion causes hardships because the lovers werent able

to fall in love without everyone being happy. It would cause many people anger or sadness.

Love isnt innocent. It causes many people to be hurt and scared because of of their

perception of love. The struggles from love can turn into a tragedy in someones life. Love is

never easy and love cant always be a dream come true.
