 THE PLATFORM

The project is a T-Minus project

during my junior year, Five students
worked together and I worked as
group leader, we aim is to design
a resting place for hikers, visitors,
and campers in Seneca Lakes Area
where Ganondagan people rest
upon.
 DESIGN BACKGROUND
Canondagan is the site of a Native American community that
was a flourishing, vibrant center for the Seneca people. We are design-
ing resting spaces for the land of the Seneca at Ganondagan State
Historic Site on three marked trails: Trail of Peace, Earth Is Our Mother
Trail, and the Granary Trail.
This T-Minus project is about coming up with design solutions
for a company or organization in one week,This year I am one of the
team managers and my team worked on the resting station. My team
membes include Alexander pusalkar, Yuke Liu, Yunlin Sun, Brian
Cusack, and Kaining Qui.

This design is derived from the natural beauty of the surrounding land at Ganondagan. The Platform utilizes traditional materials with modern forms andtechniques, seam-
lessly blending the past and the present. The seating are provides respite from the elements while the upper level provides a chance to embrace them.

The Platform is not only a rest area, but an experience. It combines both seating and shelter with a vantage point so that one can appreciate the beautiful landscape, while
also remaining unobtrusive to the environment.

Design a product that can help small

home owners and renters organize their
doorway with ease while save space and
be aesthetically pleasing.
DESIGN BACKGROUND
As a student who live in an apartment myself, the messiest place
is always the doorway. As my roommates and I finished school for the
day, we were all exhausted. When we got home is to take o our shoes and
toss them on the side of the doorway, and maybe leave our backpacks
near our shoes so that they are easy to grab and go in the morning. As
result, the doorway is constantly filled with shoes, mailboxes, back-
packs, and etc.
It kept me thinking that, if there is a tool or furniture that allow
us to stack shoes in there and also have spaces for other goods like our
backpacks, textbooks, and even keys, the doorway will be much better
and pleased to look at when we get back from school for another tiring
day.

Easily Assembled and shipped flat. Targeted stores like IKEA and Target.
Finished with the polyethylene glycol and wood finishing so that putting rain boots on it will not destroy
the shelf.
This design is inspired from H Frame Credenza Open Shelf storage system. A system that is easy to
assemble.

The shelfing system is designed to bear weights up to 250lb. It is extremely stable for people who wish to put on their shoes while sitting.

The shelfing system holds up to 12 shoes and occupies minimal space in your doorway.
It is a wonderful tool to leave your coats, bags, shoes, keys and so on.

 DESIGN BACKGROUND

As an Industrial Design student, I constantly do sketches and

make models for my projects. Having pencils, tapes, and markers lying
arround the table it make everything messy and untrackable.
On the other hand, I sometimes forget to bring tape dispenser
that I have to run to the shop and ask for these heavy big ones. I decide
to design a tool that can be able to carry most of the stationery in one ob-
ject.

Designing a clean and individual cutting
board for different categories of food.
DESIGN BACKGROUND
When I start my college life and move out of campus, I started to cook
for myself. We only have one cutting board in our apartment and my
roommate and I cut everything on it. It occurs to me that we need dif-
ferent cutting boards for different materials in order to be healthy and
sanitized.

 Quick Chair
Project

The Quick Chair Project is to

experiment with only the basic
materials like dowels and
plywood, and create a chair that
can hold wights and be
aesthetically pleasing.

For the final presentation, our

teacher and classmates sat on
these quick chair to test its dura-
bility.
 The geometric design under the seat is
designed to hold weight up to 300lb.

The bottom support is a series of triangles to make the chair sturdier. For the back support, I made two sides into an angle in
order to support peoples back comfortably.
