Introduction to Sepam Software

Class Length: 4 Hours

Abstract:
This course exposes the participant to the basic features and functions of the SEPAM Software
interface SFT2841. The intent is to provide the student with a brief overview of the software and
commonly used features which will be followed with hands on training with SFT2841. This
course is designed to be lab intensive where the majority of time is spent interfacing with the
product in order to gain confidence in the use of the SEPAM software. When completed, the
student will have the ability to navigate, configure and troubleshoot Sepam relays using the PC
based software package

Audience:
This course is primarily designed for application engineers with the goal of raising their abilities
to a competent level.

Objectives:
1. Student will be able to create a default settings file.
2. Student will be able to navigate the software.
3. Student will be able to connect to a SEPAM relay with the software
4. Student will be able to upload a settings file from the software into a SEPAM relay
5. Student will have to ability to program Sepam relays given a coordination study
6. Student will be able to identify the cause of Wrench error codes using the PC based
software
7. Student will be able to determine Sepam relay name, model number, firmware, and
display type using the PC based software
8. Student will be able to extract a waveform capture and settings file from the Sepam
relay.
9. Student will be able to load an existing settings file into the Sepam relay
10. Student will be able to access previously cleared historical alarms to aid in
troubleshooting.
