    Some scientists believe that the average surface temperature of the world has been rising steadily. The
    average surface temperature can be modeled by

    T = 0.02t + 15.0

    Where T is temperature in and t is years since 1950.

    a. What do the slope and T-intercept represent?


    b. Use the equation to predict the average global surface temperature in 2050.

    An object is launched at 19.6 meters per second (m/s) from a 90.8-meter tall platform. The
    equation for the object's height s at time t seconds after launch is s(t) = 4.9t2 + 19.6t + 90.8,
    where s is in meters. When does the object strike the ground?
