Experiment 1: Investigating the solubility of 5 salts

1. Abstract

The solubility of 5 salts is measured. Through the experiment, it was found

that the solubility of the 5 salts CaSO4, NH4NO3, KNO3, NACL and Cu(NO3)2 are,

respectively, 32.7g, 39.4g, 13.6g, 25.9g per 100g of water, and Cu(NO3)2 is

insoluble. Based on the data, it is indicated that the salt that has the highest

solubility is ammonium nitrate, and the lowest is potassium nitrate.
