This is a letter of recommendation for Amber Kingery, a former student of mine at Baker College. I have
had the pleasure of knowing Amber for approximately 2 years as a student in my science education
classes.

From the moment Amber entered the class, her smile and personality brightened the room. In small group
projects, she was a leader that was accommodating and insightful. She has an easy-going leadership style
that make being a part of her group fun. I teach a science class that pushes the comfort level of the
teacher preparation students, and Amber never backed down to any topic. Her organizational skills for
her work were exemplary, and she was one of the best students I have had for these two classes.

One of the reoccurring assignments that we have in the class is a tool box assignment. This is a
succinct lesson plan to convey a scientific idea to students of all ages. Each week, Ambers were
imaginative and fun. Combining hands on, online, and inquiry activities that would keep any student
engaged. In small presentations, she would have the attention of the class with her smile and connection
to the class. This, combined with her knowledge base, will make her a quality teacher.

I would strongly recommend Amber for any position she was applying. She is an empathetic go getter
with a winning personality. She is fun and she genuinely cares about those around her. To be frank, you
would be missing a great hire if you passed on her.
