Mix proportioning of SCC

1. Rational Mix Design Method proposed by Okamura and Ozawa (1995)

Guidelines:

a. The coarse aggregate content in the concrete is fixed at 50% of the solid volume.
b. The fine aggregate content is fixed at 40% of the mortar volume.
c. The water to powder (w/p) ratio in volume is assumed as 0.9 to 1.0 depending on the
properties of the powder.
d. The superplasticizer dosage &final w/p ratio are determined so as to ensure self-
compatibility.

2. Linear Optimization Mix Proportioning (by Domone et al, 1999)
