Apron: A defined area which is used to accommodate aircraft for loading and unloading of passengers

and cargo parking, refueling etc. It is usually paved and planned adjacent to terminal building.

The terminal apron is the loading and unloading area for passengers and cargo. Aircraft may be fueled
and parked here. At every airport, provisions of hangars for servicing and maintenance of aircrafts is
planned. The size of these facilities is determined by the expected type and volume of airport activities.
