Before the course you need to have:

1) Filled in application form (received by application)

2) 20.000 Ft registration fee
3) Medical certificate (from your doctor)
4) Certificate from the elementery or higher school
5) Residence permits valid for at least 6 months
6) You must pay 15.600 Ft for the exams, to the Controlling Authority

I. THEORETICAL COURSE

Traffic knowledge, constuctional and operating knowledge, theory of driving.

After the theoretical course the following exams are obligatory.

Highway Code

You must take 1 theoretical exam.

II. DRIVING PRACTICE (2 x 50 minutes/occasion)

According to the Hungarian rules you have to take at least 29 driving lessons,
(+ the exam) wich consist of:

- 9 lessons routine exercises

- 14 lessons driving in the city
- 2 lessons driving at night
- 4 lessons driving aoutside built-up areas

You can meet the teacher at a place you have agreed to previously,
somewhere on the line of the underground.
You must take 1 practical exams:

1) Traffic exam (60 minutes)

You may only take the exams if:

- You are considered fit for driving

- You are more then 17 years old
- You have finished the elementary school

III. Costs

Theoretical education 3.600 Ft/hour

Book (traffic rules) 2.500 Ft
Driving practice (15 occasions 30 x 3600) 108.000 Ft
Registration fee 20.000 Ft

Examinations
Theoretical exam 4.600 Ft
Traffic exam 11.000 Ft

You can take extra lessons, if necessary for successful traffic exam.

The driving school undertakes the following duties:

1. According to the requirements, it prepares the student for the theoretical and
practical driving exams and provides the necessary materials for these.
(Provides adequatelyprepared school room)
2. Manages applying for the practical exams, informs the student about the
conditions of the exams.
3. Gives the theoretical and practical lessons as agreed in advance and keeps
the period of the lessons as follows.
- The length of the theoretical lessons is 45 minutes, the practical lessons
lasts for 50 minutes
- The driving teacher is entitled for 10 minutes break.
4. The driving instructor informs the students about the status of their
preparation, suggest to apply for the exam or to give counter-proposal.
According to that the student will decide weather to apply for the exam or not.
The instructor coordinates the applying for the exam with the student. The
practical lessons contain minimum 29 lessons of driving. (9 lessons of routine
and 20 lessons driving int he traffic.) If the preparation for the exam requires
additional practice extra lessons may be given for additional fee for both,
routine and traffic lessons.
