Planners
It is expected that you will sit down with your child each evening
to discuss his/her day in school. The planner is a great guide for
this. By signing the planner, you are letting us know that your
child has completed his/her homework. Please do not sign blank
or unfinished planner pages.
Homework
Your childs homework will consist of nightly reading and math
fact practice most nights.
Parental Involvement
You are your childs most important teacher! Please, stay in touch
with your childs education. Parent volunteers are welcome in our
classrooms and to help out with other tasks (copying, cutting,
stapling, etc-). Please contact your students homeroom teacher
(Mrs. Brown) if you are interested in helping out this year!
Also, join our Class DOJO page to stay up-to-date on your childs
daily behavior. DOJO is just a snapshot of behavior and
typically doesnt include detailed notes.
Snacks
Your child is welcome to bring a healthy snack each day. It is also
okay to bring in a bottle of water to keep at his or her desk.
Birthday Treats
Please contact your homeroom teacher if you plan on sending in a
birthday treat with your child. At this time there are 23
students in Mrs. Browns homeroom classroom. Birthday treats do
not have to be healthy, but can be! Please send serving/eating
utensils if necessary.
