● Wear everyday through September 17th!

reading the bus number.
● The buses are parked in the same place every day.
● Please complete tag in your child’s bag and check
the bus number with me before you leave today.
Transportation Policy
● Please write a note with your child’s first and last name if
there is any change in transportation for the day.
● If you are picking up your child before the end of the
school day, he/she will have to be signed out at the
office.
● If you are picking up your child at the end of the day,
sign outs and pickups are in Room 113, but you must go
through the office to get into the building.
● If your child’s transportation is changing permanently
due to
daycare, etc., you will need to fill out a transportation
form.

at any time.

be filled out 2 weeks prior. Any missed work will be
sent home upon your child’s return to school.
Allergies/Medical
● If your child has any allergies or other medical
problems that could affect him/her in school,
please let me know. See me with any questions.
● Personally, I am very allergic to cashews, if you
could avoid snacks with those nuts I would
appreciate it! :)

child is buying breakfast or lunch the first
few weeks!
● EZ-Pay-add money to your child’s
account online
Afternoon Snack
● Send in an individually packed nutritious snack each
day separate from their lunch box that is simple and
easy to eat w/out a mess. Examples: pretzels, grapes,
cereal bar, apple, crackers, etc.
● We will have 5-10 minutes to eat.
Discipline
● At the ECC, we will be teaching social skills.
● Throughout the year, all of the children will be learning how to :
○ Be safe
○ Be respectful
○ Be responsible
● I use a positive, proactive approach to behavior based on individual
student needs. Your child will belong in a safe, structured, and
positive classroom community. However, positive does not mean
permissive; I set clearly defined limits and expectations for all my
students.
Please review the discipline plan in your packet with your child.
Parent Communication
● I will keep you informed of our class activities and special dates
using bloomz.
● I will call or send a note if there is a special concern/problem.
● Please let me know if there is a family illness, death, parent business trip, child
worry/fear, or anything you feel may affect your child’s school behavior.
This will help me understand and better help your child through a bad time!
● Prior to asking a question, PLEASE look at Bloomz and my blog! The answer
most likely will be in there!
● Folders are checked everyday, so a written note is always read.
● E-mail is a great way to communicate with me! My email address is:
csimpson@ofcs.net
Homework
● Read, read, read daily with your child.
I do not assign nightly homework! All I ask is that you
read and have meaningful experiences with your
kiddos.
● They WILL receive books and engaging games/activities
to complete based on their progress at school.
● Please review the papers from your child’s home folder
each
day.
Bulldog Reading Log
● School wide program to promote reading.
● Color in a bulldog for every book read.
Send it back to school once completed.
Birthdays
● If desired, the birthday child may bring in a small treat that
is easy to share with the class. Please let me know a few
days before.
● Summer birthdays can be celebrated at any time, just let
me know if you would like to do so!
● Please do not send any invitations to school
Odds and Ends
• Please bring in a change of clothes for your child in
case of accidents (shirt, pants, underwear) in a bag
