Volt egy brills, a csuszbug
Gimbelt s glt tvlengibe,
Minden mimicre purrog,
Mmja ingibe.
" Vigyzz, jn Szajkhukk, fiam!
Foga mar, karma fur!
gyelj, Csapcsip madr zuhan
S a brunks Brombol!"
Markban nyszt penge reng,
Elrgdos minden manxomot.
A tamtam-fnl megpihent,

Giabervocco Il Ciarlavotto

Sera a cocce e i ligli tarri Rostiva, e gli ascili titovi

girtrellavan nel pischetto, Andean nell'eda a triva e a spiva:
tutti losci i cencinarri Mievi stean i borogovi,
suffuggiavan longe stetto. E i duti ranchi esgrivan.

Figlio attento al Giabervocco: "Attento al Ciarlavotto, o figlio!

ha gli artigli ed ha le zanne, All'atre fauci, all'irto artiglio!
ed attento, attento al Tocco, Attento al falco Giuggio, e bada
e disprezza il frumio Stranne! Al frumosal Carpiglio!"

Egli prese in man la spada, Ei prese il vorpal ferro in pugno:

da gran tempo lo cercava, A lungo ambi' il tignal rivale --
e sullalbero di nada Poi sosto' all'ombroso Titto,
in pensiero riposava. E si fermo' a pensare.

Mentre stava s in pensiero E mentre in uschi sogni entrava

ecco il Giabervocco appare Il Ciarlavotto, in fiamme gli occhi,
per il bosco artugio e fiero Uffando usci' dal trico bosco,
tutte alunche fiamme pare. E giunto brovoglio'!

Uno e due! Ecco che fa Un-due, un-due! e giu' e giu'

litra spada zacche, zacche. La vorpal lama ando' a scip-sciap!
Lerpa testa ei lascia, e va Lo lascio' morto, e col suo corpo
galonfando pel pirracche. Galonfante torno'.

Hai ucciso il Giabervocco! "Ucciso hai dunque il Ciarlavotto?

Vieni, figlio, che tabbracci, Vieni a me, mio briglio eroe!
vieni, figlio, al bardelocco Oh di' fragioso! Allo'! Ale'!
dei d lieti di limacci! Sbrifo' nella sua gioia."
