    A 50-year-old female patient underwent a CT scan of the head after being referred from Rathi Hospital on September 23, 2017. The scan found a large area of blood in the right temporo-parietal region that extended into the third ventricle and right lateral ventricle, causing midline shift to the left. Additionally, a small calcified focus was seen near the left ambient cistern. The opinion concluded this was a large right temporo-parietal bleed with intraventricular extension, mass effect, and midline shift. Clinical correlation was recommended.

    CT STUDY OF HEAD

    Infratentorial

    Fourth ventricle is normal in size and midline in location.

    Cerebellar parenchyma and brain stem appears to be normal.

    Supratentorial

    Large hyperdense area of blood density is seen in right temporo-


    parietal region.

    Small calcified focus is seen in adjacent to left ambient cistern .

    Basal cisterns are seen normally.

    Blood is seen in 3rd ventricle and body of right lateral ventricle.

    Midline shift to left is seen.

    OPINION:

    LARGE RIGHT TEMPORO-PARIETAL BLEED WITH INTRAVENTRICULAR EXTENSION


    AND MASS EFFECT AND MIDLINE SHIFT.

    Clinical correlation is necessary.
