SOCIAL STUDIES FINANCIAL FINESSE

OBJECTIVES LEARNED THIS WEEK:
G.1.1- Explain how the physical features and
human characteristics of a place influenced the
development of civilizations, societies and regions
(e.g., location near rivers and natural barriers,
trading practices and spread of culture).
G.1.3-Compare distinguishing characteristics of
various world regions (e.g., physical features,
culture, political organization and ethnic make-up).
TOPICS COVERED:
This week we learned about Budgeting. We
began with a short clip of Dave Ramsey
explaining the importance of keeping a budget
and discussed as a class why budgets are so
important.
We then learned about a few different types of
budgets and the pros and cons of each type.

with an activity to reinforce learning.

week and focused on Continents, Oceans, and
Latitude and Longitude.

computers. Projects were due on Friday and will
count as a test grade.

Students who have a D or F in my class are going to

be given a copy of their grades on Friday to take
home. Please review what they are missing and
work with them to complete and turn in these
assignments.

ANYTHING EXTRA
- Interim reports will be sent out this Monday in the students homeroom class.
- Because of the event on Thursday, some students took their quizzes on Friday!
