Urdu is National Language of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan by virtue of Pakistan movement
and the constitution. However, due to transformational reasons none of the governments of
Pakistan have succeeded to adopt it accordingly yet. The research paper discusses and analyses
the role of political parties in this regard through their manifestos issued time to time.
