Description of the artifact and how it meets the standard and criteria:

I have had many different absences while I have been teaching, and I have left plans for
the substitute that is taking over my room for the day. I feel like it is a huge responsibility
of mine to prepare the learners and the person that is taking over my classroom. I do
not always know the level of experience the substitute has, therefore I make to to leave
detailed plans and inform my students of what he/she will be doing with the the days
prior.

Reflection on the artifact:

I have a huge respect for the substitute that has decided to help my classroom out while
I was gone. I am a very detailed and organized person and that translates into my sib
plans as well. I was gone for interviews in this case, and was in the building while my
classroom had a substitute. I understand that subbing can be difficult and hectic, so I do
everything in my power to help them out. In addition to detailed plans, I organize and lay
out all of my copies in order of the subjects that happen first. I also put sticky notes with
more information on each sheet of paper that they use. I also include notes about
students that leave the room, associates that are in my room, specials, snack time, and
read aloud.
