Description of the artifact and how it meets the standard and criteria:

In my teaching contract, it states that I am required to attend a mentoring class. When I

accomplish this, it will help me achieve my teaching license. I took the first year class
last year, and am in the middle of the second year class currently. On top of the class, I
am meeting with my mentor during our common planning time.

Reflection on the artifact:

My mentor and I meet for a variety of reasons. We have a discussion monthly on what
she is learning in her Mentee class. We also meet weekly on needs that I have. It could
be anything from a parent email, to a question about SBG. I really enjoy having a
mentor that is in my same grade because we can meet at common times and our
discussion can always be about the work we are doing in school at the time.

The class is going well also. We have two students from different districts and it is great
to see another point of view in our discussions. We have monthly meetings that relate to
a different topic and they are very beneficial to me and my beginning years. I could see
in the future becoming a mentee myself because it has been such an amazing
experience.
