CHAPTER 1: Introduction

Financial problem has been a big issue in our society now a day. Financial

support to food, electricity water an especially to education make people particularly

parents.

Parents of students in Purita Mora Elementary School have one dream only for

their children to finish their education. Education that would be their ultimate weapon in

facing and defeating the struggles of life. Education that wold serve as their ticket to a

better life.

That is why we came up with an idea to help them reach that dream, answering

the HMW question: How might we could provide other source of income and lessen

their expenses as well?

Objectives: Participants will be able to:

create do it yourself crafts from scrap such as light in a litro(solar light), rugs,

and the like;

realize the importance of recycle materials

be able to lessen the quantity of garbage by recycling

Rationale

Participants, specifically the parents in Purita Elementary School located in

Talisay City will be aware that through these workshop, they can start improvising and

innovating some things that will lessen their expenses and will be essential at home.

Giving them ideas that can be of help to their life.

CHAPTER 2: Methodology

Products:
1. IsangLitrongIlaw the Solar Light
2. Recycled Rug

Materials
1. Isanglitrongilaw
Coke 1.5 litre bottle
G.I. sheet
Cutter/ Scissors
Purified Water
Bleach
(Optional) Vulca seal

2. Recycled Rug
Sack
Scissors
Cloth and small rectangular-shaped cloths (out of used clothes)
Stick (or any hole maker)
Sewing kit

Procedure:
IsangLitrongIlaw the Solar Light
1. Gather all materials.
2. Cut the G. I. sheet at approximately 910.
3. At the center of the sheet draw a circle (optional: 2 circles). And cut the
center in the circle.
4. Fill the coke bottle with purified water.
5. Pour (2) two cup fulls of bleach.

6. Insert the bottle to the G. I. Sheet and seal with vulca seal.

Recycled Rug
1. Gather all materials.
2. Cut a rectangular-shaped sack.
3. Sew the sides of the sack. Enveloped with the cloth.
4. Prepare the small rectangular shaped clothes.
5. Make the holes in pair only at a short distance from each other.
6. Place the cloth in between and tie like a knot.
7. Follow the same until the sack is filled with cloth.
