Sketch #1 The Elements of Design

What you will be doing:

Sketch an outfit that includes the following elements of design:


Shape (name the silhouette)
Line (what types of line are used and where)
Color (color scheme used)
Texture (tactile and visual, describe the feel/look of the fabrics you would use)
Proportion (sketch should look proportionate croqui was used)

Sketch page needs to have the following

Sketch represents the elements of design


o Colored
o Balanced (use a croqui to help with this)
Paragraph explains specific uses of the elements
Titles and paragraph; Typed
Paragraph boarded with construction paper
Mounted on White Cardstock

Miscellaneous items (yolk, pleats, slit, vest etc.)
Title of design
Paragraph explain the different styles use Design Detail Example
Sketch, Title and Paragraph is mounted on construction paper
All glued onto White Cardstock

Needs to be in paragraph form; typed.

Sketch based on fashion era
o Colored

What you will be doing

You can choose your era that you want to focus on.
