You are going to see images of five cities and their landmarks. Write a
paragraph describing each city and country it belongs and the landmark shown.
Use the vocabulary from the box for the descriptions. The first one is done for
you as an example. / A continuacin ver imgenes de cinco ciudades y sus
lugares representativos. Escriba un prrafo describiendo cada ciudad, el pas al
que pertenece y el lugar mostrado. Use el vocabulario dentro del recuadro para
las descripciones. La primera ha sido hecha como ejemplo.

New York is a big city in the

of visitors every year. The city
has a population of around 8
million people. There is a lot
to see and do in New York.
You can visit the Central
Park, the Metropolian
museum and Times Square.
In the picture you can see the
Statue of Liberty, a monumet
built between 1875 and 1986.
It is 93 meters tall. The statue
is located on Liberty Island in
the Hudson River.
 Roma is a medium-sized city in
Italy (Europe). Is the most
populated city in Italy. It is a city
with a lot of history, its history
spans nearly three millennia.
In the picture you can see the
Saint Peters Square, it is
located in the Vatican City.
In the center of the square you
will find an obelisk build in 1586.

Sydney is a big city in Australia
(Oceana). Is the most populated
city in Australia, its population is
close to 5 million inhabitants.
The city was built near of
Jackson Port, Sydney is listed
as one of the 15 most visited
cities in the world.

designed in 1957 and
inagurated in 1973. Was
declared in 2007 Patrimony of
Sydney (Australia) The Sydney Opera the Humanity.

Edinburgh is the second city

most big of the Scotland after
Glasgow (Europe).
It is located on the banks of the
Forth Rive; Edinburgh is the
second most visited city in the
United Kingdom
In the picture you can see the

fort erected near a cliff, its
located in the center of the
Edinburgh city.

Emirates (Asia). It is located on
the coast of the Persian Gulf, is
a city full of modern buildings

Burj Khalifa that is the tallest
tower in the world with 828
meters. within this there are
apartments, offices, shopping
mall, hotel, among others. The
construction of the Burj Khalifa
had an estimated budget of
more than 4 billion dollars
