To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing this letter of recommendation for Grecia Martinez, as she
begins her career in teaching. I have known Ms. Martinez for several years as
her instructor for several courses she took while completing her degree in Early
Childhood Education at Bradley University.
I have found Ms. Martinez to be terrific to work with: she shows many fine
qualities that will stand her in good stead when she is in a classroom of her own.
She is intelligent, takes the time to reflect and improve, asks questions when she
doesnt know something (but tries on her own first) and she has a great sense of
humor. Grecia also really sticks to things, and works hard to perfect her craft, two
attributes I feel are very important for a truly professional teacher.
Recently, I was a guest in Ms. Martinezs student teaching classroom, and
observed the way in which she worked with a diverse group of kindergarteners.
She had excellent rapport with her students, and managed the lively group with
aplomb and skill.
I am very happy to be able to recommend Ms. Grecia Martinez to you.
She is exactly the kind of person I would like to see on my staff if I were a
principal. She will make a wonderful teacher and colleague, and the district or
that hires her will be very fortunate indeed! Sincerely,

Dr. Cecile M. Arquette
