Dear Mr Enrique Pea Nieto

I am writing to you to ask a favour and I sincerely hope that my request does
not prove to be unreasonable. The affair I should like to ask you about is so
important to me that, considering our amicable relationship over the past
years, I have decided to contact you.

You will remember my daughter, Catherine, I am sure. Last year, she

completed her studies on the course "Translation and Interpreting" at
Granada University and she has spent some time since then seeking
employment. However, due to the steep competition in this field, she is
finding it difficult to obtain a suitable position.

I believe your company takes on translators from time to time, and I

wondered if there might be a situation vacant. I do not want you to feel
obliged to take her on just because she is my daughter. What I am requesting
is that you offer her an interview and I am sure you will be able to appreciate
the many qualities of this young lady.
