Subject: Application form for issuance of Certificate of Competency (CoCs) upon

completion of examination process reg.

Sir,
This has come to knowledge of the Chief Examiner of Master and Mates that
often candidates suffer from delays in issuance of their CoC due to filing subject
application from the assessment centre (MMD), in which the eligibility was granted to
candidate, whereas, his/her examination process completed at another assessment
centre, including the Directorate (as that of in oral cases).

In order to obviate such unwanted delays, I am to convey the decision taken that
the local MMD will complete the process of filing Form 15 entries, in case a candidate so
desires, upon paying the requisite fee and furnishing necessary documents and forward
the subject application to the Central Examination & Certification Branch of the Nautical
Wing in the Directorate for the necessary action.

Please be guided as per above.

This issues with the approval of the Chief Examiner of Master and Mates.
