Overall aim and context of the lesson:

1PA1 recognize, read and describe patterns in a range of familiar environments

Choose two aspects from the competency areas to evaluate and discuss (one paragraph
each) according to following:

1. discuss one aspect that you feel you did very well. Try to analyse why you
think it worked well and what hints you would share with other teachers
about the successful strategy/ resource/activity/management style etc.

Positive aspect of the lesson:

I feel that I did very well when I teach

-introducing about the patterns, give examples and show real examples in the class.

- Explaining about the key vocabularies ( Pattern , repeat) and explain about real objects that are familiar
for the students like T shirts has pattern.

- Giving the students opportunity to recognize, describe and read the patterns they see. Let them share their
answers with the whole class and reinforce them positively.

- Making the activities appropriate for the students' level of thinking.

- Demonstrating how they can make or build their patterns using the manipulative.

- Correcting the mistakes that the students might do with making the patterns.

- Assessing the students depends on their level.

- Checking for them and go around them to observe their works.

2. elaborate on the aspect identified by you that requires attention. Discuss


what the problem was, why it occurred and what action you intend to take to
be more successful in the next lesson.

Requires Attention:

My problem was when I explain the lesson some students misbehave but I tried to manage their behaviors
and call their names to get their attention.
3. outline the personal focus and goal of the next lesson
Personal focus for the next lesson:

Classroom management: I must be assistive about some student's behavior during I teaching the lesson. I
must manage their behavior s and get their attention directly to understand what I am explain about the
lesson.
