STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

The woods are lonely, dark and deep. But I have promises to keep.
And miles to go before I sleep. And miles to go before I sleep.

The above lines have been a source of inspiration for me since childhood. These lines make
me to work hard and smart. The Cultural secretarys role is considered the most important
function on the Board of Council members. Keeping this in mind, I, Harmeet singh, student
of pre-final year, Electronics and Communications branch, hereby intend to stand for the
post of cultural secretary in DTUs Cultural Council.

During my logistics department internship at Punjab South Road Carrier Pvt. Ltd., I
learned to work in a team comprising of both seniors and juniors. Working there made me
accustomed to working under high pressure and completion of assigned task within time.
Working there, I developed great inter-personal terms with different people across
different industries and learnt to deal with things which requires immediate attention. I
have been involved in all aspects of working of DTU Student Association and Cultural
Council. Thereby, I am well aware of the method of proceedings to be carried out there. I
have been immensely involved in Engifest 2016 and 2017, and during that period I learnt
the way works are carried out. I have loved every minute of work: especially the
opportunity to participate in cutting-edge projects like Engifest. After working here, I felt I
should gain some practical working in an intense environment to gain first-hand knowledge
of what the life of a Cultural Secretary entails.I would make sure that all funds are properly
received and disbursed properly. Along with it, all documentation would be carried out
swiftly.

I hereby attach my vision in thefollowing page for upcoming session. Thus, I would like to
conclude by stating that I have learnt the professionalism required to run and attain
excellence. I am confident of using my all experiences to produce results successfully.
Hence, it is with great pride and honour to get appointed and given the chance to prove my
worth as Cultural Secretary.
