31st ASEAN SUMMIT AND RELATED SUMMITS

MEDIA GUIDELINES AND OTHER LOGISTICAL INFORMATION

ACCREDITATION:
Only accredited media shall be given access to the International Media Center both
in Clark and Manila and access to cover the 31ST ASEAN SUMMIT AND RELATED
SUMMITS.
NO ON-SITE accreditation.

RELEASING OF BADGES:
Media with approved accreditation application must personally claim or send an
authorized representatives to get their ASEAN badges on the following dates/ time/
venue:

ACCESS TO THE INTERNATIONAL MEDIA CENTER:
ASEAN Media badges are required to access the International Media Center both in
Clark and Manila.
Inclusive Dates: MANILA: Nov. 10 -14, 2017 & CLARK: Nov. 10 15, 2017
Operating Hours: 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Facilities: Wireless Internet Access, Work Space, Power plugs, Web Facilities.
Briefing Rooms, Bookable technical booths and Stand upper space.
Seats: Seats are on a first come, first served basis.
Food: Complimentary buffet morning snacks, lunch, afternoon snacks and dinner will
be served.
Press Materials: will be made available at the media center PR Kiosks.

COVERAGE:
Coverage code for key media events may vary from:
o Host Broadcast/ Host Photo Only.
o Open/ Pool Tri- Media.
o Pool Photo/ Video Opportunity.

POOLING:
ASEAN badges must be worn and displayed at all times while covering the event/s.
Pool overpass will be provided to pool members and must be displayed when
entering coverage venues.
Pool allocations for most of the meetings are pre-determined and priority is given to
official & traveling media delegation of participating countries.
However, if space allows, foreign/ visiting and local press shall be notified
accordingly. Notification will be given a day prior to the event.
Pool members shall assemble at the IMC Pool Waiting Lounges and shall move in
groups escorted by MAROs, HMLOs/ CMLOs and Volunteers.
After each coverage opportunity, press pool shall be escorted back to the IMC where
they can file their stories.
Pool members are reminded to observe proper decorum when entering/ exiting
meeting venues.
Pool members are reminded to strictly follow the cue that ends every pool spray and
to promptly exit the room so as not to cause delays in the meeting.

LIVE STREAMING:
Live streaming will be available at the IMC.

TRANSPORTATION:
Scheduled trips shall be made available from IMC Manila IMC Clark/ IMC Clark
IMC Manila from Nov. 10 - 15 for Leaders Arrival & Departure Coverage.
Shuttle service shall be provided to & from accredited media hotels to the IMC both in
Manila and in Clark.
Shuttle service shall be provided for the press pool to & from IMC to official coverage
venues both in Manila and Clark.

DRESS CODE:
Business
NOT ALLOWED are rubber shoes/ sneakers, jeans, t-shirts.

BRIEFINGS/ INTERVIEWS:
Bookable briefing rooms will be available on a first come, first served basis for
exclusive or open for all, press briefings of official delegation.

 Other press briefing schedules will be announced and posted on LED monitors at the
IMC upon availability of officials and other resource speakers.
Interview Request Forms will be available at the information counter and will be
coursed through the Host Media Liaison Officers and the Leaders Liaison Officers.
