InTASC Standard 3

The InTASC Standard #3: Learning Environments, the teacher works with others

to create environments that support individual and collaborative learning, and

that encourage positive social interaction, active engagement in learning, and

self-motivation. The artifact I have chosen to include to go along with this InTASC

standard is an observation assignment I have completed at one of my field

placements. In this observation I was required to complete a student

demographic chart to examine how many boys and girls there were in the class

and what their ethnic background is, and what their exceptionalities were. After

completing this chart I then had questions to answer to further explain the

classroom I was observing in. By completing this observation assignment I was

able to better understand how to describe and identify the students

demographics in the classroom. This teachers classroom was very well

organized and laid out to create collaborative learning and in the artifact I

answered questions to support this. I chose this artifact to present that I can

make observations to identify learning environments and see how a teacher

can create a learning environment for his or her students.
