Steps in Designing Professional Development

You will use the following template to document the overall plan for the Module

Step Description
Assess Yourself and the I am the technology contact for multiple programs for my
Audience school. I have used Google Classroom for the past five years. I
have witness the evolution of the program. It is a great addition
to the educators arsenal of tools.
Teachers in my district are required to switch over to Google
Classroom by the end of the school year. Next school year
teachers must use Google Classroom as the main tool for
communicating with students. All students that enroll in the
school system are required to claim their accounts upon
registration.
AASL Standards for 21st Century Learner:

accessing information and pursuing inquiry.

understanding.
o 1.3.4 Contribute to the exchange of ideas within the
learning community.
o 1.3.5 Use information technology responsibly.
There is a wide breath of expertise. We have teachers that are
familiar with technology and will find it easy to use due to it
being a point and click system. However, they may need to
know specifically how to add forms, add assignments, upload
articles found on the internet, etc. Some teachers rarely use
technology and may need individual assistance.
Analyze the Learner Teachers are visual, and tactile learners. The module will
include screenshots of important tools. There will be video
tutorials for teachers that may need individual instruction or
that may be absent when information is presented to the whole
group.
A quick reference document will be available for teachers who
may need individual assistance during initial set-up. The
reference document will help teachers with adding new
